Solution density at 20°C (d20) :

Density calculator and concentration converter
Aqueous solutions of:
NaOH, KOH, NH3(aq), Ca(OH)2, HCl, HNO3, H2SO4, H3PO4, CH3COOH, NH4Cl, NH4NO3, (NH4)2SO4
C [mol/dm3] xw [-] mass frac. xm [-] molar frac.
d [g/cm3]
Period "." or comma "," may be used as decimal point ("2.1" or "2,2" etc.).
Any input with percent sign "%" will be recalculated into fraction (2% -> 0.02).
Check below if concentration range is within fitted data range

  1. Select Salt/Base/Acid,
  2. Enter concentration [mol/dm3], molar fraction or mass (weight) fraction,
  3. Press appropriate [Calc] button,
  4. Read approximate Density [g/cm3],
  5. Read other approximate concentrations (Cm <-> xw <-> xm conversions),
Due to limited precision of fitted approximations, calculation cycles (like: C[mol/dm3] -> density -> weight frac. xw -> C[mol/dm3] ) may change initial concentration values.
  6. You may select/copy Summary/Info fields (then e.g. paste to Excel, convert to columns and make a density graph).
  7. Density value cannot be used to calculate concentration (d ->C may be ambiguous).
